Welcome to Northside Christian Elementary School

We are thrilled to welcome you and your child to our Northside Christian School family. Here, we believe in nurturing the whole child - spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and mentally - to help them reach their fullest potential and thrive in all areas of life. At Northside Christian School, your child will experience a supportive and enriching environment where they can grow and flourish in their faith, academic pursuits, and personal development. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a high-quality education that challenges and inspires students to excel academically while also nurturing their spiritual growth and character development.

I welcome you to openly discuss your questions and concerns as you are our connection to an impactful and successful school year. To speak with me, you can schedule an appointment with our office manager, Mrs. Brittany King.

Warmly,
Dr. Danielle D. Smalley
Elementary Principal
At Northside Christian School, our elementary program is designed to develop the whole child—academically, socially, and spiritually. We use a strong, well-rounded curriculum that includes Abeka Math and Reading, challenging students to perform at high levels. Most of our students read above grade level, and accelerated math begins in fourth grade, allowing them to move beyond standard expectations. Our Terra Nova test scores consistently exceed the national average.

We offer three classes per grade level. Students receive daily instruction in core subjects: reading, math, science, social studies, Bible, and language arts. Weekly enrichment classes include art, music, physical education, library, Spanish, and hands-on science lab experiences. Technology is integrated throughout the day through the use of iPads and STEM kits.

Our students also shine outside the classroom. They participate in—and often place well at—competitions like the ACSI Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, art festivals, speech meets, and various writing contests.
Character development is an important part of our program. Each elementary grade level completes at least one service project per year, with each grade focusing on a different group in need.

For example:
  • Kindergarten: the hungry and homeless
  • First grade: the elderly
  • Second grade: veterans
  • Third grade: first responders
  • Fourth grade: builds beds for children without one
  • Fifth grade: supports children in the foster care system
We also value parent involvement! While volunteer hours aren't required, there are many ways to be part of classroom life and join us on field trips. A Level II background check is required for anyone working directly with children.

We’d love for you to check us out and become part of the Northside family!
